The 'DBA on Demand' Service

The DBA on Demand service from Database Professionals is designed to save you time and money while maintaining high service levels to your end users. Database Professionals' staff review and totally document your platform, application and database environment. From that point on, all required DBA tasks are prioritised, scheduled and performed by Database Professionals. A weekly, fortnightly or monthly review is scheduled to suit your site's requirements.

Step 1 – Audit, Analysis, and Recommendations.

Database Professionals staff spend between one to three days on-site to review and analyse your systems, database, and application platforms. Recommendations are made in writing for any immediate improvements that may be obtained. Once you have approved these recommendations they will be implemented.

Step 2 – Documentation.

A full report is produced from the review process. A copy is kept on-site and at Database Professionals. The Assignment Reports keep track of all activity in your database environment. Strict version control methodologies are applied to Database Professionals Assignment Reports. A list of mandatory and optional tasks is defined an agreed to.

Step 3 – Business as usual.

All mandatory tasks are performed on time with an Assignment Report being written for every Assignment. Optional tasks are performed when possible.

Step 4 – Regular reviews.

To keep you up to date, a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly Assignment is scheduled. The recommended starting point is a monthly site review to make sure that all is well.

Special on-site assistance

Provided as required on a time and materials basis for emergencies, busy times, major upgrades or similar.
